Why We Do What We Do: Heartwarming Words from a Past Client

One of our attorneys, James McCormick, recently received a beautiful, handwritten note from a past client, expressing gratitude for his work both with her close friend and her husband.

Dear Mr. McCormick (Jamie!),

I have neglected to send this note to you far too long. Intentions don’t mean much–actions count! I’m sorry.

I appreciate so much your persistent efforts in securing a settlement for my dear friend. You were the only one who actually stuck with it and fought for her. She has had an extremely tough life the last ten years fighting for her husband’s health and then for her own–one health issue after another and she’s still fighting–pressing on regardless with more pain and struggle. I’m amazed she is still with us. I just want to commend you for your unselfish advocacy on her behalf. My hubby turns 78 on 2/9, still kicking and of course we don’t forget your fine work at his trial way back in 2012 (I think?)

Many thanks to you and your firm for all you do with great integrity. May 2026 be a blessed year for you and your family.

This is a deeply appreciated gesture for not only James but our entire team. Stories like this are at the heart of our work. It is our honor and mission to serve each client with compassion, advocating for them during some of life’s biggest challenges, being the one to “stick with it” when no one else will.
