University Place School District Pays $1.1M to Settle Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Involving Former Wrestling Coach

University Place School District Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Settlement

Evergreen Personal Injury Counsel attorney, Neil Stubbs, recently reached a 1.1-million-dollar settlement against the University Place School District for multiple survivors of sexual abuse from former wrestling coach, David O’Connor.

In 1977, a Lewis County Court deemed David O’Connor a “sexual psychopath” for his sexually motivated crimes against young boys. Despite this, the University Place School District allowed a known sexual predator to coach young boys on the Curtis Junior High School and High School wrestling teams.

We are proud to help survivors of David O’Connor and hold the University Place School District accountable for the heinous conduct they allowed to take place. We currently represent more survivors of David O’Connor’s prolific sexual abuse. If you or someone you know has any information that may be helpful, please contact our office.

To survivors— you are not alone.
